Scientific Excellence at "Mikve Israel" honored by Minister Binyamin (Fuad) Ben Eliezer and the President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, Mr. Shraga Brosh Minister of Industry and Commerce, Binyamin (Fuad) Ben Eliezer, and the President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, Mr. Shraga Brosh, visited the General Division School at Mikve Israel. The visit was initiated by CEO of "Tasiyeda," Ms. Aviva Mishal. "Tasiyeda" educates people about the importance of buying Israeli products in order to support the economic development in Israel. The visit at the school was a credit to the staff and students. who excelled at implementing the "Tasiyeda" learning program: - "The future generation in High-Tech" (7th grade) - Lectures and workshops about "Buying Israeli products" (8th grade) - "The Smart & Green House" (9th grade – specifically for students excelling in Science) - "Research in Biotope" with regard to the agricultural studies at the school - Biotech projects in collaboration with Israeli companies. Over the years we received honorary certificates for our excellence in: - Teamwork - A leading teaching and managerial staff - Students winning first place positions in product development competitions. The visitors spoke with four 8th grade classes and listened to various lectures. Throughout the middle school building, students hung posters with slogans about the importance of buying locally-made products. 9th and 11th graders showcased their original ideas of how you can lower energy costs, and the Biotech students showed their project, which takes place at the "Tara" factory with the help of "Tasiyeda".
