The Math Olympics occurs every year. Initiated by the Weitzman Institute for Science, it is considered highly prestigious due to its complicated challenges that require creative mathematical solutions.
The "Alliance" School achieved yet another accomplishment at the Olympics when 8th grader Omer Gotfried received a “special commendation.”
The prizes and certificates were awarded to the students in a special ceremony at the Weitzman Institute, an event that was attended by dozens of teachers, students and parents.
Mayor of Haifa, Mr. Yona Yahav, congratulated the winners and said that the city of Haifa will honor them and their teachers with honorary certificates from the municipality
